Trauma-Informed
Counselling
Trauma-informed therapy recognises that difficult life experiences - whether recent or long past - can deeply affect how we think, feel, and relate to the world.
Rather than focusing on “what’s wrong with you,” this approach asks, “What’s happened to you?” It’s about working together in a way that feels safe, respectful, and empowering. I won’t push you to talk about anything before you're ready. You’re in control of the pace, and your boundaries will always be honoured.
This way of working understands that trauma can show up in many ways: anxiety, dissociation, shame, numbness, people-pleasing, or feeling stuck. You don’t need to have a specific diagnosis or label to benefit from trauma-informed support—just a sense that something in your past may still be impacting your present.
My aim is to offer a calm, compassionate space where we can gently explore your experiences, help you reconnect with your sense of self, and support your healing—without judgment or pressure.
