About Ivaneta — Trauma-Informed Counsellor in Oakham & Online UK
Meet Your Counsellor
I’m Ivaneta, a trauma-informed counsellor offering gentle, collaborative therapy for adults navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout, neurodivergence, and addiction.
I provide both in-person counselling in Oakham and online therapy across the UK, creating a space that feels calm, steady, and supportive wherever you are.
Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to, someone who listens deeply and offers space without pressure.
I offer therapy in English, Bulgarian, and Russian.
My aim is to create a space where your experience is truly heard and respected, and where healing can unfold at a pace that feels safe for you.

My Therapeutic Approach
I believe therapy works best when we shape it together.
My approach is:
-
Pluralistic – flexible and collaborative
-
Person-centred – your experience guides the work
-
Trauma-informed – your nervous system sets the pace
-
Neurodiversity-affirming – respectful of autistic and ADHD experiences
-
Relational – grounded in empathy and attunement
-
DBT-informed – supporting emotional regulation where helpful
There is no “right way” to heal. Only your way.
If you’re unsure where to begin, you’re welcome to book a free 15-minute intro call to see if we feel like a good fit.

A Little About Me
Outside of therapy, I stay grounded through simple practices that support calmness, presence, and attention — qualities I bring into my work.
I enjoy long walks in nature, reading, and a gentle yoga practice. I’m also part of a Zen Buddhist sangha that supports people with trauma histories and neurodivergent experiences.
I don’t bring Buddhism or any specific spiritual framework into therapy unless you’d like to explore mindful practices. However, these parts of my life help me show up with steadiness, clarity, and compassion.
